The sunny weather that is anticipated this coming Saturday will be a most welcome feature at the St Aldhelm's Fair celebration here in Malmesbury. There will be a variety of stalls in the Cloister Gardens to browse whilst the Companions of the Longbow will be providing a Longbow experience for youngsters free of charge.

With our ancient royal connections we will of course also be celebrating the Royal Wedding at the Old White Lion, workplace of the unfortunate Hannah Tywnnoy. Open house thanks to Paul & Frances Smith.

The popular 'Craft & More Market' will be on in the Town Hall and across the car park at St Aldhelm's Church you'll find the Flower Festival where refreshments will be available. Take a wander around the Abbey to see St Aldhelm himself immortalised in a beautiful stained glass window & much more besides

Look out for the 'Malmesbury Morris Dancers' en route in their traditional Malmesbury colours but expect to hear them before you see them! At 2.30pm the guided walk "St Aldhelm: What Did He Ever Do For Us?" leaves the Town Hall & will take you back to the Saxon history of Malmesbury, however, pre-booked tickets are a must as numbers are strictly limited (available from the Athelstan Museum).
