Malmesbury Town Council makes three annual Citizen Awards: Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year (the John Poole Cup) and Organisation / Group of the Year (the Paul Dove Trophy).

We would now like to receive nominations for individuals or an organisation / group to receive a 2019 award. We will be making awards to those who in our judgement have made a significant and sustained contribution to the local community in the past year.

Nominees for Citizen of the Year must be aged over 26 and for Young Citizen between 16 and 25. They must live in the wider Malmesbury area (the Town, St Paul Without and Brokenborough) and Organisations / Groups must be centred in that area. The Young Citizen of the Year Award is made in conjunction with the Rotary Club of the South Cotswolds and the winner may in turn be put forward for the Rotary Club’s Young Citizen Award.

To propose an individual or organisation/group for an Award, please complete the application form which is available at the Tourist Information Centre or online on the Town Council website HERE.  And return it by Friday 5th April. Each nominee will need a proposer and seconder, for whom we need contact details and the form must give the reason for nomination. The more you can tell us, the easier it will be for us to judge the nominee's contribution.

The Award Presentation Evening will be Wednesday 24th April at 7pm in the Town Hall. Nominees and their proposer and seconder will be invited.
