We are delighted to report the news from Athelstan Museum of their acquisition of a JMW Turner watercolour.

The 1827 watercolour is of Malmesbury Abbey, so it is exciting that it will be returning to its rightful home. This acquisition was made possible with funding from The National Lottery Hertitage Fund and the Art Fund.

The painting is expected to be on display from late spring 2020. A wide programme of art and creative activites inspired by the painting is planned to interest all ages.
