Malmesbury paid its respects to those who have served and sacrificed in a moving annual Remembrance Day commemoration on Sunday. The event featured a procession through the town, culminating in a solemn service at Malmesbury Abbey.
The parade included Malmesbury town councillors and representatives of local groups and dignitaries, and was proudly led by personnel from 84 Medical Supply Squadron and 94 Supply Squadron, both part of 9 Regiment Royal Logistics Corps.
A moving service at the Abbey was then led by the Rev Oliver Ross.
Also attending were the Deputy Lieutenant of Wiltshire Amanda Burnside, Under Sheriff Mr Christopher Bromfield Esq, members of Wiltshire Police, Dorset & Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service the Royal British Legion, and the Warden & Freemen.
Youth organisations which participated included the Air Training Corps, the Guides, Brownies, Scouts and pupils from Malmesbury Primary and Malmesbury Secondary schools.
