In a perilous time when England is torn apart by religious upheaval and tyrannical rule, Katherine Parr (Alicia Vikander), educated and accomplished, reluctantly agrees to become the sixth wife of King Henry VIII (Jude Law). Her marriage to the tyrant is fraught with danger, as she navigates a court filled with intrigue, suspicion, and betrayal. As Henry departs for war, leaving her as Regent, Katherine must fend off scheming courtiers and protect herself from the King’s growing paranoia.
