IMPORTANT INFORMATION RE. PARKING SUSPENSIONS THIS COMING WEEKEND

This weekend sees the return visit of Colonel Nicholas Devereux’s Regiment to Malmesbury. As you will have no doubt realised, many exciting things are happening in the Cloister Gardens and Market Cross on Saturday and Sunday, and the Town Hall and Warden & Freemen’s Office on Saturday.

Among the Sunday highlights are two re-enactments of the decisive battle when Parliamentary soldiers took Malmesbury for the last time.
There will be some parking suspensions to enable things to go ahead safely and these are :-

Market Cross – there is a Parking Suspension in Market Cross all day on Saturday 4th, and the area is closed to traffic on Sunday 5th.

Outside Old Bell Hotel – there is a Parking Suspension on Saturday 4th for a wedding, and on Sunday 5th the Road will be closed for the Civil War Battle Re-enactments so Parking bays (including the Disabled bays) will not be accessible.

War Memorial (The Triangle) – there is a Parking Suspension on Sunday 5th May on all bays including the Disabled bays.

PLEASE make sure that if you park in these areas you remove your car at the appropriate times.

There will be temporary alternative parking available at the right hand end of Beutell Way SN16 9LU ( courtesy of Dyson) for Sunday 5th May ONLY.  See map below. And at Waitrose SN16 9FS (3 free hours on purchasing something from the Store).
