Malmesbury Town Council has a vacancy to co-opt a new member.   Could this be you or someone you know?  

Considerations for would be Councillors

Councillors are;

Elected representatives who give up their own time to serve the community.

Committed and must attend Council meetings.

Custodians of public money for which they make decisions within a legal framework of policies and procedures.

Required to abide by the Code of Conduct.

Holders of a respected and rewarding position.

Councillors must be an elector over 18 years of age, an UK, EU or Commonwealth citizen, and live or work within three miles of the Malmesbury area.

Deadline for Expression of Interest is 9.00am on the 1st June 2021.

Attractions to visit include the stunning 12th century Malmesbury Abbey, 15th century Market Cross and the Athelstan Museum with a painting of Malmesbury Abbey by JMW Turner. There are also lovely walks along the River Avon.
