Wiltshire Council - Introduction of 20mph to various roads in Malmesbury

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 11th August 2021 Wiltshire Council made the following Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

1. THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, MALMESBURY)
(20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2021
2. THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (CROSS HAYES CAR PARK (SOUTHERN ACCESS), MALMESBURY) (PROHIBITION OF ENTRY) ORDER 2021
(Previously advertised as 2020)


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 11th August 2021 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is as follows:

Order 1

To introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following lengths of roads:


B4040 Bristol Street - from its junction with B4040 Abbey Row/C68 Gloucester Road to a point 10 metres east of its junction with Bremhilham Road
Burnivale (UC 938709) – the complete length
Crab Tree Close (UC 928725) – the complete length
Dark Lane (UC 928702) – the complete length
Foxley Road (C68) - from its junction with B4040 Bristol Street to a point 30 metres south of its junction with Dark Lane
Harpers Lane (UC 928720) – the complete length

Order 2

To introduce a prohibition of entry, prohibiting vehicles entering Cross Hayes Car Park (Southern Access) from B4040 St Dennis Lane.

Any person aggrieved by the Orders and desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

The Orders will come into operation on 27th August 2021.
