Paradoxes Untamed: a Hobbesian Headache?

Thomas Hobbes is known as the father of modern political thinking and philosophy. He was born in a cottage, here in Malmesbury, a mere stones throw away from where this talk is being given nearly 450 years after his birth.
Dr. Christopher Ray will be explaining some of Thomas’s ideas and concepts which continue to influence our world today.
Please go to www.thomashobbesofmalmesbury.org for more information about the Festival, location of venue and parking.
Please arrive from 1.45pm for the illustrated talk which will start at 2pm. Additionally at the URC will be an Archaeological Dig and children's fun activities (all free) plus refreshments available to purchase and also Guided Walks, so you might wish to come along earlier or stay later to enjoy these as well.
