The Dauntsey Doom Painting and the Reformation
Malcolm Sinclair will give an introduction to the unique Doom painting at the Chuch of St James the Great in Dauntsey and talk about how the English Reformation from Henry VII to Elizabeth I destroyed so much religious art in the 16th Century.
Entry 2.15 pm - tea served from 2.30 pm and talk starts at 3 pm.

The Dauntsey Doom, Heaven & Hell & the art of the last judgement - a talk by Malcolm Sinclair
Malcolm will look at how the unique Doom painting at the Church of St James the great in Dauntsey and other similar art in England and Europe from the St Thomas Doom in Salisbury to the Sistine Chapel portray the Last Judgement when all souls are sent to the joys of Heaven or to the fires of Hell.
Entry from 6.30 pm, talk starts at 7.00 pm
